1. Clean the components.
2. Inspect the components.

The springs are loose or distorted.

Replace the springs as needed. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

The switch arm is loose.

Tighten the arm to specifications. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

The switch mounting screws are loose.

1. Inspect the switch installation on the lock housing cover.
2. Inspect the mounting screw bosses on the lock housing cover.
3. Replace the components as needed. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

The yoke is broken or distorted.

Replace the switch. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
