There are two override access slots for the console shift that will allow you to override the steering column electric park lock if the battery is fully discharged.

The first override access slot is located underneath the steering column:

1. Insert another key or a screwdriver into the access slot.
2. Rotate the lock cylinder.
3. Remove the key from the ignition.

The second override access slot is located on the upper right hand side of the console shift panel:

1. Remove the cap.
2. Insert a key or a screwdriver into the slot.
3. Press down and hold.
4. Shift the vehicle out of the PARK position.
5. Replace the cap.
