The diagnostic computer scan tool becomes part of the vehicle's
electronic system when it is plugged into the Data Link Connector (DLC).
The diagnostic computer scan tool can perform the following functions:
| • | Display the MAGNASTEER® data |
| • | Display and clear any MAGNASTEER® diagnostic trouble codes |
| • | Control the MAGNASTEER® components |
| • | Perform extensive MAGNASTEER® diagnosis |
| • | Provide diagnostic testing for intermittent MAGNASTEER® conditions |
Each test mode has specific diagnostic capabilities which depend upon
various keystrokes. Use the keys on the diagnostic computer scan tool in order
to perform the following functions:
| • | Perform functions within an operating mode |
| • | Enter Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) or model year designations |
