Do the turn signal indicator lamps illuminate when the turn signals are operating?

1. Set the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
2. Set the I/P dimmer to maximum brightness.

Do the heater-A/C control illumination lamps illuminate?

Go to Interior Lights Dimming System Check in Lighting Systems

1. Set the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
3. Set the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
4. Set the I/P dimmer to maximum brightness.
5. Use a DMM in order to probe between the instrument cluster harness connector terminal C1 terminal J and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value for both terminals?

9-14 V

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

1. Inspect the warning indicator bulb and the bulb connection.
2. If OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
3. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

1. Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 8 between the instrument cluster harness connector terminal C1 terminal J and S203.
2. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Inspect the system for an open in CKT 1450 between the instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminal I and L and G205.
2. If OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
3. Inspect the system.
