  1. Turn the headlamp switch IP dimmer switch to the OFF position.
  2. Remove the key from the ignition key cylinder lock.
  3. Close all the vehicle doors.
  4. Press the LOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter once.
    • All doors lock.
    • The courtesy lights turn off.

Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter.

The following results are based on the current remote unlock control feature customization mode:

    • In mode 1 (disabled), all doors unlock when pressing UNLOCK once on the keyless entry transmitter.
    • In mode 2 (enabled), the driver's door unlocks when pressing UNLOCK once on the keyless entry transmitter. Pressing unlock again within 5 seconds unlocks all of the doors.
    • The courtesy lights flash for 36-44 seconds for both modes 1 and 2.

  1. If the remote unlock control feature customization is in mode 1, skip to Step 4.
  2. Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter again within 5 seconds of step 2.

All doors unlock when pressing UNLOCK once on the keyless entry transmitter.

  1. If the vehicle is not equipped with the content theft deterrent system (RPO UA6), skip to step 5.
  2. Press the alarm button on the keyless entry transmitter.

The headlamps flash and the horn sounds alternately for 2 minutes. Pressing the alarm button again on the keyless entry transmitter will also end this mode.

Only Rear Lid Release Mode Operates with Transmitter

Press the rear compartment button on the keyless entry transmitter.

The rear compartment lid releases.

The remote activation verification feature (RPO UA6 Only) is activated as follows:

  1. Remove the key from the ignition key cylinder lock.
  2. Close all the vehicle doors.
  3. Press the UNLOCK button once on the keyless entry transmitter while observing the headlamps and listening to the horn.
  4. Press the LOCK button once on the keyless entry transmitter while observing the headlamps and listening to the horn.
  5. Press the LOCK button within 5 seconds on the keyless entry transmitter while observing the headlamps and listening to the horn.

The following results are based on the activation verification mode:

    • In mode 1 (feature disabled), no headlamps flash and no horn sounds when locking or unlocking the doors using the keyless entry transmitter.
    • In mode 2, the headlamps flash when pressing either unlock or lock on the keyless entry transmitter.
    • In mode 3, the headlamps flash when pressing unlock on the keyless entry transmitter. The headlamps flash and the horn sounds when pressing lock on the keyless entry transmitter.
    • In mode 4, the headlamps flash when pressing unlock on the keyless entry transmitter. The headlamps flash when pressing lock once on the keyless entry transmitter. The headlamps flash and the horn sounds within 5 seconds when pressing lock again on the keyless entry transmitter.
