Inspect the radio fuse in the underhood accessory wiring junction block for an open.

Is the radio fuse open?

Go to Step 3

1. Repair the short to ground in CKT 640.
2. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Disconnect the trip calculator connector.
2. Use a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the voltage between the trip calculator harness connector terminal A1 and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

9-14 V

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Repair the open or poor connection in CKT 640.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

Use a J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between the trip calculator harness connector terminals A1 and B5.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

9-14 Volts

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

1. Repair the poor connection, the open, or the short to battery power in CKT 1550 between the trip calculator harness connector terminal B5 and G200.
2. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Replace the trip calculator. Refer to Driver Information Center Module Replacement .
2. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
