2	Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. Open and close a vehicle door, while observing the DID/ trip calculator. Does the DID/ trip calculator operate normally?	--	Go to Step 3	Go to Step 6
3	Was the BCM Diagnostic System Check performed?	--	Go to Step 4	Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System .
4	Close all of the vehicle doors. Ensure that no warning messages are displayed on the DID/ trip calculator. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Disconnect the BCM connector C2. Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance between the BCM connector C2 terminal D3 and ground. Is the resistance within the specified range?	∞	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 5
5	Ensure that the DMM is connected. Disconnect the DID or the trip calculator electrical connector. Measure the resistance. Is the measured resistance within the specified value?	∞	Go to Step 6	Go to Step 8
6	The DID/ trip calculator reminder is inoperative due to a malfunction of the DID/ trip calculator. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Driver Information Systems . Is the action complete?	--	Go to Step 9	--
7	Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control Systems. Is the repair complete?	--	Go to Step 9	--
8	Repair a short to ground in circuit 653. Is the repair complete?	--	Go to Step 9	--
9	Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Install the connectors or the components that were removed. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position for 6 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Remove the MALL PGM fuse. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position. The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the BCM type that is installed in the vehicle. Within 1 second, turn the ignition switch from the ACC position to the OFF position, and then, back to the ACC position. The BCM sounds any stored DTC's.
