- Ensure that the IP dimmer switch is in the OFF position.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Lower the driver's window in order to prevent a lockout.
- Close all of the vehicle doors.

- Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
- Use a test light in order to probe between the BCM connector C2
terminal D5 and ground.

- Use a test light in order to probe between the headlamp switch
harness connector terminal 0 and ground.

digital multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the resistance between the BCM
harness connector C2 terminal D5 and the headlamp switch harness connector

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Install any connectors or components that were removed.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position for 6 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the MALL PGM fuse.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.
The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the BCM type
that is installed on the vehicle.
- Within 1 second, turn the ignition switch from the ACC
position to the OFF position, then back to the ACC position. The BCM sounds
any stored DTC's.
