Did you perform the BCM Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Set the automatic door lock operation to mode 3.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Verify that the transaxle is in PARK.
  4. Press the rear compartment release switch.

Does the rear compartment lid open?

  1. Verify that the transaxle is in PARK.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between the BCM connector C2 terminal D6 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

The automatic door lock feature is inoperative because of a malfunction in the PARK input circuit. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Release System Check in Body Rear End for diagnosis and repair of the PARK input circuit.

  1. Inspect the BCM connectors for poor terminal contact.
  2. If the BCM connectors have correct terminal contact, replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Repair the poor connection or the open in CKT 275.
