1. Disconnect the left outside rearview mirror.
2. Use a test light in order to probe between the left outside rearview mirror connector terminal A and ground.
3. Set the outside mirror select switch to the left mirror.
4. Set and hold the outside remote control rearview mirror switch to the right position.

Does the test light illuminate?

Inspect CKT 81 for a poor connection or an open.

Is there a poor connection or an open in CKT 81?

Repair the poor connection or the open in CKT 81.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the outside remote control rearview mirror switch. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement .

1. Disconnect the right outside rearview mirror.
2. Use a test light in order to probe between the right outside rearview mirror connector terminal A and ground.
3. Set the outside mirror select switch to the right mirror.
4. Set and hold the outside remote control rearview mirror switch to the right position.

Does the test light illuminate?

Replace the mirror motor pack within the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement .

Inspect CKT 881 for a poor connection or an open.
