Removal Procedure

    Important: The sunroof is equipped with 2-piece sunroof shades. Service the sunroof sunshade as a complete set that includes the following items:

       • The front sunshade
       • The rear sunshade

  1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 317122 Size: SH
  2. Slide the front and rear sunshades to one of the following positions:
    3. • Forward
    • Closed
  3. Begin with the rear half of the sunshade in order to position the sunshade to the back half of the sunroof opening.
  4. Remove the sunroof window from the module.
  5. Ensure that the front edge of the rear sunshade is just behind the sunshade channel.
  6. Remove the rear half of the sunshade from the sunroof module.
  7. Slide the front half of the sunshade rearward.
  8. Position the front half of the sunshade so that the front edge is just behind the sunshade stop.
  9. Push the front sunshade to one side.
  10. Carefully position the bow to the center of the sunshade upwards in order to allow the opposite side to lift out of the sunshade channel.
  11. Remove the front half of the sunshade from the sunroof module.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 317122 Size: SH
  1. Install the front half of the sunshade to the sunroof module.
  2. Ensure that the front edge of the front sunshade is just behind the sunshade stop.
  3. Insert one side of the sunshade into the sunshade channel.
  4. Carefully bow the center of the sunshade upwards in order to allow the opposite side to drop into the sunshade channel.
  5. Slide the front sunshade forward.
  6. Install the rear sunshade to the sunroof module.
  7. Ensure that the front edge of the rear sunshade is just behind the sunshade stop.
  8. Insert one side of the sunshade into the sunshade channel.
  9. Bow the center of the sunshade carefully upwards in order to allow the opposite side to drop into the sunshade channel.
  10. Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
  11. Inspect the sunshade in order to ensure that the sunshade does not bind in the channel.
