The diagnostic computer scan tool becomes part of the vehicle's electronic system when it is plugged into the Data Link Connector (DLC). The diagnostic computer scan tool can display and clear any MAGNASTEER® diagnostic trouble codes.
Each test mode has specific diagnostic capabilities which depend upon various keystrokes. The keys on the diagnostic computer scan tool completes the following functions:

| • | Perform functions within an operating mode |
| • | Enter Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) or model year designations |
