  1. Inspect the backup lamp bulbs for a damaged or open filament.
  2. Inspect the inoperative backup lamp connectors for a damaged or missing seal.

Are the backup lamp bulbs and the connectors OK?

  1. Remove the inoperative backup lamp.
  2. Apply the park brake.
  3. Shift the transaxle into the REVERSE position.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  5. Connect a test light between the inoperative backup lamp connector terminal A and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 350 between the backup lamp harness connector terminal G and G302.

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 24 between the backup lamp connector terminal A and C400 terminal D.

Replace the damaged component.
