Removal Procedure
- Open the rear compartment.
- Remove the mounting nuts from the remote compact disc CD player housing.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the remote compact disc CD player.
- Remove the mounting bolts/screws from the remote compact disc CD player.
- Slide the remote compact disc CD player from the housing.
- Remove the remote compact disc CD player housing from rear compartment.
Installation Procedure
- Align and install the remote compact disc CD player into the housing.
- Install the mounting bolts/screws to the remote compact disc CD player.
- Connect the electrical connector to the remote compact disc CD player.
- Install the remote compact disc CD player housing to the rear compartment.
- Install the nuts to the remote compact disc CD player housing.
- Close the rear compartment.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the remote compact disc CD player bolts/screws to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the remote compact disc CD player housing nuts to 7 N·m
(62 lb in).
