Head Up Display Module Replacement for Pontiac Grand Prix 1999

1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .



2. Remove the instrument cluster head up display (HUD) bolts.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the instrument cluster HUD.
4. Remove the instrument cluster HUD from the IP.

1. Connect the electrical connector to the instrument cluster head up display (HUD).
2. Install the instrument cluster HUD to the instrument panel (IP).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the bolts into the instrument cluster HUD.
4. Install the IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
