Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Support the rear compartment lid.

    3. Important: Pressure to remove or attach the rear compartment strut supports ends must be placed at strut end that is being removed or attached. Do not apply pressure to the mid section of the rear compartment strut when removing or installing as this will bend and damage the strut.

  3. Use a small flat-bladed tool to lift up the locking clip on the strut upper ball stud.

    4. Object Number: 318869 Size: SH
  4. Unsnap the upper ball stud on the rear compartment lid strut.
  5. Use a small flat-bladed tool to lift up the locking clip on the strut lower ball stud.
  6. Unsnap the lower ball stud on the rear compartment lid strut.
  7. Remove the rear compartment lid strut from the hinge.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 318869 Size: SH
  1. Position the rear compartment lid strut to the hinge.
  2. Snap in the lower ball stud.
  3. Snap in the upper ball stud.
  4. Close both locking clips.
  5. Remove the rear compartment lid support.
  6. Close the rear compartment.
