- Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position.
- Turn the IP dimmer switch to the DOME position.
- Using a test light, probe between the BCM connector C1
terminal E and ground.

| Repair a poor connection or open in circuit 1393.

- Inspect the BCM connector C1 terminal E for poor
terminal contact. Perform repairs as needed.
- If the terminal contact is OK, replace the BCM. Refer to
Body Control Module Replacement
in Body Control System.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Reconnect the connectors and reinstall the components that were
removed.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position for 6 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the MALL fuse.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position. (The BCM sounds
the chime a number of times equivalent to the BCM type installed on the vehicle.)
- Within 1 second, turn the ignition switch from the ACC
position, to the OFF position, then back to the ACC position. (The BCM sounds
any DTCs stored.)
