Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 320041 Size: SH
  1. Use a heat gun 152 mm (6 in) from the surface in order to heat the front bumper fascia emblem.
  2. Apply the heat for approximately 30 seconds using a circular motion.

    3. Important: Do not damage the paint.

  3. Remove the front bumper fascia emblem from the front bumper fascia surface using a small plastic flat-bladed tool.
  4. Remove the front bumper fascia emblem adhesive from the front bumper fascia using 3M™ Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk 3M™ P/N 07501 or equivalent.
  5. Clean the front bumper fascia surface using Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha or equivalent.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 320041 Size: SH
  1. Use a heat lamp or heat gun 152 mm (6 in) from the surface to warm the front bumper fascia to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
  2. Peel the backing from the front end of the front bumper fascia emblem.

    3. Do not touch the adhesive backing.

  3. Press the front bumper fascia emblem to the front bumper fascia while continuing to remove the backing.
  4. Hand roll the front bumper fascia emblem to the front bumper fascia to ensure proper adhesion.
  5. Inspect the front bumper fascia emblem ends for bonding.

    6. Hand roll the loose ends.
