Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 507664  Size: SH
  1. Reposition the pinch clamp (1) from the valve end of the hose.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum line from the valve.

  3. Object Number: 507669  Size: SH
  4. Remove the secondary air injection (AIR) pipe fasteners (3).
  5. Remove the fastener (2) that secures the valve (1) to the bracket (5).
  6. Remove the valve and pipe assembly (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the valve and pipe assembly to the AIR hose.

  2. Object Number: 507669  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fastener (2) that retains the valve (1) to the bracket (5).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the AIR pipe fasteners.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the pinch clamp (1) back into position.
  8. Connect the vacuum line to the combination valve.
