Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat cushion.

- Remove the anchor nuts that secure the rear seat retainer at the
bottom of the seat back.
- Remove the center seat belt buckle nuts. Refer to
Seat Belt Replacement - Center Rear
.
- Grasp the bottom of the
seat back. Swing upward on the seat back in order to disengage the offsets
on the upper frame bar from the hangers.
- Lift the seat back upwards in order to remove the seat back.
- Remove the seat back from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the seat back
into the vehicle.
- Install the seat back upper frame to the hangers.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the rear
seat back anchor nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat back anchor nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the rear seat center belt nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat center belt nuts to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).
