Changes may include one or more of the following items:

    • Fastener changes
    • Torque values and/or fastener tightening strategies

    • Disassembly and assembly procedure revisions
    • Engine mechanical diagnostic procedure revisions

Component Comparison

No components have been changed.

Fastener Changes

No fastener changes from 2000.

Torque Values and/or Fastener Tightening Strategies

    • Torque value for the Ignition control module assembly bracket bolt has been changed to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
    • Torque value for the Ignition control module assembly nut has changed to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
    • Torque value for the Air injection pipe to throttle body nut has changed to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
    • Torque value for the Generator brace bracket bolt has changed to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
    • Torque value for Spark plugs after initial installation has been changed to 15 N·m (13 lb ft).

Changed Engine Specifications

Engine mechanical specifications remain the same as the 2000 products.

New Sealants and/or Adhesives

No new sealants or adhesives have been added.
