Did you perform A diagnostics System Check - Body Control System?

Go to Step 2

Does the BCM flash and chime any DTCs?

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List in Body Control System

Go to Step 3

  1. Close all vehicle doors.
  2. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
  3. Operate the radio, power windows and sunroof (if equipped).

Do the listed features operate?

Go to Step 4

Go the appropriate Diagnostic System Check

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Operate the radio, power windows and sunroof (if equipped).
  3. Check to see that the features operate for the following time period:
  4. • Vehicle with less than 15 miles travelled - 3 minutes
    • Vehicle with more than 15 miles traveled - 10 minutes

Do the listed features operate for the proper time?

Go to Step 5

Go to Symptoms - Retained Accessory Power

  1. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF for 10 seconds.
  2. Turn the ignition OFF.
  3. Operate the radio, power windows and sunroof (if equipped).
  4. Open a vehicle door.

Do the features listed stop operating?

System OK
