Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 65739  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  2. Remove the retaining nuts from the fuel sender access panel.
  3. Remove the fuel sender access panel.

  4. Object Number: 50636  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor (7) from the fuel sender assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 50636  Size: SH
  1. Install the new fuel tank pressure sensor (7) to the fuel sender assembly.
  2. Connect the fuel tank pressure electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 65739  Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel sender access panel.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the fuel sender access panel retaining nuts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
