  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Turn the IP dimmer switch to the DOME position.

Do all of the courtesy lamps illuminate?

Go to Step 3

Open and close each door.

Do the courtesy lamps turn ON when you open each door?

Are all of the courtesy lamps inoperative?

  1. Disconnect the headlamp switch.
  2. Using a test lamp probe at the headlamp switch harness connector, between battery positive voltage and the headlamp ground circuit.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Install a jumper at the headlamp switch harness connector between the courtesy lamp switch signal circuit and the headlamp switch ground circuit.

Do the courtesy lamps illuminate?

Test the courtesy lamp switch signal circuit for short to battery positive voltage, a high resistance, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
