Subject: | Engine Wiring Harness Causing Multiple Driveability Concerns |
Models: |
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
The under hood bussed electrical center wiring harness may be resting against the serpentine belt.
The intermediate under hood bussed electrical center wiring harness located on the right front strut tower may drooped into the belt due to heat sagging. Portion of wire harness may be cut by the serpentine belt. The fix is to move the birds' beak harness retainer from outboard to inboard hole on the engine mount strut bracket, to provide more tension and lift on the wiring harness.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
