Ignition 1 Voltage | P0033 | P0033 | P0033 | -- | -- |
Supercharger Boost Solenoid Control | P0033 | P0033 | P0033 | P0033 | -- |
Battery voltage is supplied to the Supercharger Boost Solenoid. The control module grounds the Supercharger Boost Solenoid control circuit to close the valve by means of an internal switch called a driver. The scan tool displays the commanded state of the Supercharger Boost Solenoid as ON or OFF. The control module monitors the status of the driver.
• | The ignition is in Crank or Run. |
• | The system voltage is between 9-18 volts. |
• | Runs continuously when the above conditions are met. |
The control module detects that the commanded state of the driver and the actual state of the control circuit do not match, for a minimum of 12 seconds.
DTC P0033 is a Type B DTC.
DTC P0033 is a Type B DTC.

Powertrain Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Type Definitions
⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for an open or for a short to ground. |
⇒ | If the test lamp illuminates, test the control circuit of the Supercharger Boost Solenoid for a short to ground. |
⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate with the commanded state of the solenoid, test the control circuit of the Supercharger Boost Solenoid for a short to voltage or an open. |
⇒ | If the circuits and the control module test normal, replace the Supercharger Boost Solenoid. |
