J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Lower the folding rear seat back.
2. Remove the upper bolts from the seat back frame.
3. Remove the sail trim panels. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement .
4. Remove the lower trim panels from the rear quarter. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement .
5. Remove the upper trim panels from the rear quarter. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .



6. Use J 38778 to remove the push-in retainers (1) from the rear window trim panel.
7. Remove the rear seat belts from the T-slots in the rear window trim panel.
8. Remove the trim panel.

1. Position the trim panel by the rear window.
2. Install the safety belts into the T-slots.
3. Install the push-in retainers (1) to the rear window trim panel.
4. Install the sail trim panels. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement .
5. Install the upper trim panel to the rear quarter. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
6. Install the lower trim panels to the rear quarter. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

7. Install the upper bolts to the seat back frame.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

8. Return the seat back to the original position.
