The engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM) engine speed signal circuit provides the EBCM with an indication of engine RPM to help determine TCS control methods and rates when a TCS event takes place.
• | Engine Running. |
• | After 2 seconds starting, and if there is a undervoltage condition. |
An open/high resistance, or short to ground on the engine speed signal circuit.
• | The EBCM disables traction control system (TCS) for the duration of the ignition cycle. |
• | A DIC message and/or a warning indicator may be displayed. |
• | The condition for the DTC is no longer present in the last 100 ignition cycles and no DTCS have been detected. |
• | The condition for the DTC is no longer present. |
