The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some owners may comment that the temperature of the air coming out of the heater is not warm enough or is cold.
A blockage may exist inside one of the two heater hose fittings located on the combination alternator/belt tensioner bracket.
Partially drain the cooling system, disconnect both heater hoses from the bracket and inspect for a blockage inside either fitting. If a blockage is found, remove it and reconnect both hoses to the fittings. Refill the cooling system and confirm proper heater operation.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
