The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The customer may comment that the A/C snowflake indicator comes on when starting the vehicle.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The AC compressor will default on when the vehicle is started. This is designed to assist in window defogging. This is normal operation of the HVAC system. No parts should be replaced for this concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
