Removal Procedure
- Pull the front door weatherstrip from the pinchweld flange to expose the windshield pillar garnish molding.
- If the vehicle is not equipped with side curtain air bags, pull on the garnish molding to disengage the retainer clip.
- If the vehicle is equipped with side curtain air bags do the following:
- Remove the garnish molding from the vehicle.
| • | Pull on the garnish molding to disengage the retainer clip |
| • | Remove the tether strap from the front pillar. |
Installation Procedure
- Position the garnish molding to the windshield pillar.
- If equipped, install the tether strap to the front pillar.
- Press the garnish molding in to fully seat the retainer clip.
- Press the door weatherstrip back onto the windshield pinchweld flange.
Important: The tether strap retains the garnish molding during airbag deployment. Make certain the tether retainers are fully inserted.
