The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Intermittently the radio clock may reset to 12:00, the radio may lose presets, and a pop or thump noise may be heard through the speakers. This concern will typically occur at start up during vehicle cranking only when a CD is in the radio and the radio was turned off while in CD mode.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Testing has determined that this concern will typically occur every 15 to 30 key cycles. If the condition symptom is exactly as stated above & the condition occurs every 15-30 key cycles, please contact TAC for further information.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
