Using a small pocket size screwdriver carefully reposition the red sealing material for the wires from connector X101 located on the left strut tower. With the sealing material out of the way, inspect for the presence of water inside. If water or evidence of moisture is found, then contact Jim Kelly at (586) 492-5612. If water or evidence of moisture is NOT found, then clear the DTC's and road test the vehicle to see if any of the DTC's will reset.
Engineering is looking for a vehicle in the "Metro Detroit" (Southeast Michigan) area that sets the DTC's listed with no water found in connector X101 or AFTER all the water has been removed from the connector. Dealers in the "Metro Detroit" area that have a vehicle with this concern should contact Jim Kelly at (586) 492-5612 or Ray Mueller at (248) 685-4254 BEFORE PERFORMING ANY FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. Jim or Ray will assist in making arrangements for Engineering to review the vehicle at your Metro Detroit area location.
