WHEN SETTING IGNITION TIMING ACCORDING TO THE VEHICLE EMISSION CONTROL INFORMATION LABEL AND USING THE AVERAGING METHOD AS DESCRIBED IN SECTIONS 6D AND 6E OF THE 1982 CAVALIER SHOP MANUAL, THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE TO SET TROUBLE CODE 41 IN STORED MEMORY. AFTER FOUR WIRE CONNECTOR IS RECONNECTED AND ADJUSTMENT IS COMPLETED, REMOVE THE ECM 1 FUSE TO CLEAR THE TROUBLE CODE MEMORY.
