POWER STRG. RACK & PINION SHORT GEAR SERV. P/N'S

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1982-86 'J' SERIES 1985-86 'N' SERIES

1987 style centre take-off power rack and pinion "short gears" will now be provided as a service replacement for most applicatioris on 1982-86 "J" Models and 1985-86 "N" models.

To install the 1987 style gear on prior year models, the short gear package will .include one (1) coupling assembly, one (1) RH mounting grommet, and one (1) line retainer. An instruction sheet will be included.

The 'J' and 'LB6' silicone boot service gears will continue to be of the old double wall cylinder design.

Current 'J' and 'LB6' steering assembly service kits are 7849109 and 7849112 which are used for 1985-86 model application.
