THE CRUISE CONTROL RELEASE SWITCH AND RELEASE VALVE AT THE CLUTCH PEDAL SHOULD BE CHECKED AND ADJUSTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS WHENEVER ANY REPAIRS OR ADJUSTMENTS ARE MADE TO THE CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY OR RELATED LINKAGE ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL TRANSAXLES. WITH CLUTCH PEDAL DEPRESSED INSERT FIRST VALVE AND THEN SWITCH (SEE FIGURE 1) INTO TUBULAR RETAINER IN BRACKET AS FAR AS THEY WILL GO. SWITCH AND VALVE MUST BOTTOM IN BRACKET AGAINST SHOULDER OF SWITCH AT CONNECTOR END. (SEE FIGURE 2.) PULL CLUTCH PEDAL FULLY REARWARD AGAINST PEDAL STOP UNTIL AUDIBLE "CLICK" SOUNDS CAN NO LONGER BE HEARD. SWITCH AND VALVE WILL BE MOVED IN TUBULAR RETAINER PROVIDING CORRECT ADJUSTMENT. RELEASE CLUTCH PEDAL AND REPEAT ABOVE STEPS TO ASSURE THAT NO AUDIBLE "CLICK" SOUND REMAINS.
