HIGH PITCHED WHISTLE DIESEL VEHICLES

WE HAVE RECEIVED COMMENTS OF A HIGH PITCHED WHISTLING NOISE AUDIBLE IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT ON SOME 1981 CUTLASS, "88", "98", AND TORONADO MODELS WITH DIESEL ENGINES. THIS WHISTLE COMES AND GOES WITH THE OPERATION OF POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO REPLACE THE HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING PIPE BETWEEN THE HYDRO-BOOST AND THE POWER STEERING GEAR. THE REPLACEMENT PART IS A HIGH PRESSURE HOSE AND THE PART NUMBERS ARE 7833367 CUTLASS, 7833357 "88" AND "98", AND 7837182 TORONADO AND ARE AVAILABLE FROM GMWDD.
