Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1223494 Size: SH
  1. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the heater module-to-blower module connection tube on the vehicle not equipped with A/C. Refer to Heater Hose Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the evaporator on the vehicle equipped with A/C. Refer to Evaporator Core and Drain Hose Replacement .

  4. Remove the blower resistor. Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the blower motor connector. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement .
  6. Remove the nuts (2).
  7. Disconnect the wiring harness (1).
  8. Remove the blower module.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the blower module retaining nuts (1).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the blower module retaining nuts to 3-5 N·m (27-44 lb in).

  2. Connect the wiring harness.
  3. Connect the blower motor connector. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement .
  4. Install the blower resistor. Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .
  5. Install the evaporator on the vehicle equipped with A/C. Refer to Evaporator Core and Drain Hose Replacement .
  6. Install the heater module-to-blower module connection tube on the vehicle not equipped with A/C. Refer to Heater Hose Assembly Replacement .
  7. Install the glove box to the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
