Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1222955 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) electrical connector (1).
  4. Remove the ECT sensor (2).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1222957 Size: SH
  1. Install the ECT sensor (1).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the ECT sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  2. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the ECT sensor.
  3. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
