Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1230464 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the EVAP canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement in Engine Controls - 0.8L and Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement in Engine Controls - 1.0L.
  3. Disconnect the electronic brake control module (EBCM) electrical connector.
  4. Remove the retaining screws (1).
  5. Remove the EBCM.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1230465 Size: SH
  1. Install the EBCM with the retaining screws.

    2. Object Number: 1256925 Size: SH
  2. Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
  3. Install the EVAP canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement in Engine Controls - 0.8L and Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement in Engine Controls - 1.0L.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
