Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Object Number: 49905  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
  4. Loosen both clamps on the MAF sensor (1).
  5. Remove the air inlet duct from the MAF sensor (1).
  6. Remove the MAF sensor from air filter housing (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Carefully install MAF sensor (1) to air inlet grommet.
  2. Attach the MAF sensor (1) to air inlet duct and install the air inlet duct.
  3. Tighten the MAF sensor clamps.
  4. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.

  6. Recconnect the negative battery cable.
