Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 410416  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws retaining the HVAC control assembly.
  4. Pull the HVAC control assembly straight out from the instrument panel.

  5. Object Number: 410422  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the electrical and vacuum connectors
  7. Remove the HVAC control assembly

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 410422  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical and vacuum connectors to the HVAC control assembly.

  2. Object Number: 410416  Size: SH
  3. Push the HVAC control assembly into dash opening.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the HVAC control assembly retaining screws.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten screw to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  7. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
