|
Alarm sounds with the transaxle out of the
PARK position, with 2 second stall.
|
• | The system thinks the sliding door is in the secondary position
when actually the sliding door is in the primary position (fully latched). |
- | Front to rear latch rod out of adjustment (prevents detent). |
- | Electrical noise masks detent. |
• | Inability of the system to pull the sliding door into the primary
position due to high static force to close (the door may appear fully latched
but it is actually in the secondary position). |
|
- Perform the following actions:
• | Inspect the door rods/latch. |
• | Inspect then adjust or replace the door lock rods and linkage. |
• | Inspect then adjust or replace the rear latch. |
- Repair the electrical noise.
• | Inspect the pads/plunger for secure attachment to the body/door. |
• | Replace the pouch in fasteners if needed. |
• | Inspect for corrosion, water entry, dirty or sticking plungers. |
• | Clean or replace the plungers. |
• | Inspect ground circuits. |
• | Inspect the detent switch. |
- Adjust the sliding door.
If the actions taken do not correct the PSD condition, refer to
Power Sliding Door (PSD) Diagnostic System Check
.
|
No alarm with transaxle out of the PARK position, with no 2 second
stall.
| The
system thinks the sliding door is in the primary position when actually the
sliding door is in the secondary position. This is due to an electrical
noise that creates a false detent switch signal.
| Perform the following actions to
repair the electrical noise:
- Inspect the pads/plunger for a secure attachment to the body/door.
- Replace pouch in fasteners if needed.
- Inspect for corrosion, water entry, dirty or sticking plungers.
Clean or replace plungers.
- Inspect ground circuits.
- Inspect the detent switch.
Replace if needed.
If the actions taken do not correct the PSD condition, refer to
Power Sliding Door (PSD) Diagnostic System Check
.

The power
sliding door (PSD) opens by itself and reverses prior to plunger contact.
|
- Mechanical obstruction.
- Improper cable tension (over/under tensioned).
| In order
to clear the mechanical obstruction, perform the following actions:
- Clear the foreign objects.
- Clean or replace the tracks.
- Inspect the roller brackets for binding.
Adjust/lubricate the lower track at bend with lithium grease.
In order to adjust the cable tension, refer to
Rear Side Door Actuator Cable Tension Adjustment
.
If the actions taken do not correct the PSD condition, refer to
Power Sliding Door (PSD) Diagnostic System Check
.
|
The PSD
opens by itself, and reverses to the OPEN position after plunger contact.
|
- High static force to close.
- Front to rear latch rod out of adjustment, prevents detent.
- Electrical noise masks detent, or creates false primary, secondary
or unlatch signal.
- Improper cable tension, under-tensioned cable causing false primary,
secondary or unlatch signal.
|
- Adjust the door.
- Inspect then adjust or replace the door lock rods, linkage or
the rear latch.
- Repair the electrical noise:
• | Inspect the pads/plungers for a secure attachment to the body/door. |
• | Replace pouch in fasteners if needed. |
• | Inspect for corrosion, water entry, dirty or sticking plungers. |
• | Clean or replace the plungers. |
• | Inspect ground circuits. |
• | Inspect the detent switch. |
- Adjust the cables.
If the actions taken do not correct the PSD condition, refer to
Power Sliding Door (PSD) Diagnostic System Check
