Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 73898 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in engine electrical.
  2. Note the position of the hoses for installation.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector and hoses from the EVAP canister purge valve.
  4. Release the lock tab on the EVAP canister purge valve mounting bracket.
  5. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 73898 Size: SH
  1. Bend tab on mounting bracket to retain the EVAP canister purge valve.
  2. Install the EVAP canister purge valve to EVAP canister purge valve mounting bracket.
  3. Once installed pull on the valve to ensure that the part will be held in place.
  4. connect the electrical connector and hoses to the EVAP canister purge valve.
  5. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in engine electrical.
