Removal Procedure
- Remove the sliding door inner trim panel. Refer to
Sliding Door Inner Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the sliding door water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the powersliding
door unlatch release actuator electrical connector.
- Remove the powersliding door unlatch release actuator screws.
- Remove the powersliding door unlatch release actuator from the
powersliding door.
- Unhook the powersliding door latch release actuator rod from the
powersliding door latch release actuator.
Installation Procedure
- Hook the powersliding
door latch release actuator rod to the powersliding door latch release actuator.
- Install the powersliding door unlatch release actuator to the
powersliding door.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the powersliding
door unlatch release actuator screws.
Tighten
Tighten the powersliding door unlatch release actuator screws to 10 N·m
(89 lb in).
- Connect the powersliding door unlatch release actuator electrical
connector.
- Install the sliding door water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Install the sliding door inner trim panel. Refer to
Sliding Door Inner Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Perform the reinitialization procedure. Refer to
Power Sliding Door (PSD) Re-Initialization
