Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2001 🢒 Montana Ext. 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Fuel Filler Door Innerlock Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left rear inner fender liner. Refer to Filler Tube Replacement .
  2. Open the left sliding door.

    3. Object Number: 313707 Size: SH
  3. Release the tension on fuel filler door interlock and remove fuel door interlock cable from the fuel filler door interlock.
  4. Attach a piece of mechanics wire to the fuel filler door interlock cable end.

    5. Object Number: 313709 Size: SH
  5. Use a small flat-bladed tool to release the fuel filler door cable from the rear inner quarter panel.
  6. Disconnect the fuel filler door interlock cable from the fuel filler door.
  7. Use the mechanics wire to pull the fuel filler door interlock cable through the rear inner quarter panel openings.
  8. Remove the mechanics wire from the fuel filler door interlock cable leaving the mechanics wire routed through the rear quarter panel.
  9. Remove the fuel filler door interlock cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 313709 Size: SH
  1. Attach the fuel filler door interlock cable end to the mechanics wire.
  2. Use the mechanic wire to pull the fuel filler door interlock cable through the rear quarter panel openings.
  3. Remove the mechanics wire from the fuel filler door interlock cable.
  4. Press in on the fuel filler door interlock cable to seat into the rear inner quarter panel.
  5. Connect the fuel filler door interlock cable to the fuel filler door.

    6. Object Number: 313707 Size: SH
  6. Release the tension on the fuel door interlock and install fuel filler door interlock cable to the fuel filler interlock.
  7. Close the left sliding door.
  8. Install the left rear inner fender liner. Refer to Filler Tube Replacement .
