Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
2. Disconnect the electrical connector to door lock cylinder, if equipped.
3. Using a small flat-bladed tool, press in on the retaining tabs to release the front door window from the front door window sash.
4. Slide the glass full up and tape in place.

Access Cover Plug

Tip
Remove the plug to access the upper rear door handle bolt.

Front Door Handle Bolts (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Front Outside Door Handle

Tip
Partially remove in order to access the door handle latch and lock rods.

Front Door Lock Rod

Tip
Disconnect the lock rod from the outside handle lock cylinder.

Front Door Latch Handle Rod

Tip
Disconnect the latch rod from the outside handle.
