The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter works up to 195 feet (60 m) away from the vehicle.
There are other conditions which can affect the performance of the transmitter. See Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System .
The following functions may be available if the vehicle has the RKE system:
(Remote Vehicle Start): For vehicles with this feature, press to start the engine from outside the vehicle using the RKE transmitter. See Remote Vehicle Start for additional information.Operating the power sliding door(s) with the RKE transmitter occurs if the power sliding door override switch(es) on the overhead console are active or inactive. See Power Sliding Door (PSD) for additional information.
If the sliding door is closed and the power sliding door button on the transmitter is pressed and held, the vehicle's doors unlock and then the power sliding door opens. If the power sliding door has been locked using the manual door lock lever, the power sliding door must be unlocked before it can be opened with the RKE transmitter sliding door button.
If the vehicle's fuel filler door is opened, the driver side power sliding door will not open completely. Do not try to force the door. Once the fuel filler door is closed, the driver side sliding door can be opened normally.
Only RKE transmitters programmed to this vehicle will work. If a transmitter is lost or stolen, a replacement can be purchased and programmed through your dealer/retailer. When the replacement transmitter is programmed to this vehicle, all remaining transmitters must also be reprogrammed. Any lost or stolen transmitters will no longer work once the new transmitter is programmed. The vehicle can have a maximum of four transmitters programmed to it.
Notice: When replacing the battery, do not touch any of the circuitry on the transmitter. Static from your body could damage the transmitter.
