The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter works up to 195 feet (60 m) away from the vehicle.

There are other conditions which can affect the performance of the transmitter. See Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System .

The following functions may be available if the vehicle has the RKE system:

(Remote Vehicle Start): For vehicles with this feature, press to start the engine from outside the vehicle using the RKE transmitter. See Remote Vehicle Start for additional information.

(Lock): Press to lock all doors and the liftgate. See Power Door Locks for more details on the power door lock features. The turn signal lamps may flash to indicate locking has occurred. If [block ] is pressed again, within five seconds, the horn sounds and the turn signal lamps may flash to let you know the vehicle is already locked. See "FOB LOCK FEEDBACK" under DIC Vehicle Personalization for additional information. Pressing [block ] may also arm the content theft-deterrent system if the vehicle has one. See Content Theft-Deterrent .

(Unlock): Press once to unlock the driver door. Press again, within five seconds, to unlock all the doors and the liftgate. The turn signal lamps flash. To unlock all doors the first time is pressed, see "FOB UNLOCK ON 1ST PRESS" under DIC Vehicle Personalization . Pressing may disarm the content theft-deterrent system if the vehicle has one. See Content Theft-Deterrent .

(Remote Alarm): Press to sound the alarm. The turn signal lamps flash and the horn sounds. Press again to turn off the alarm.

Remote Power Sliding Door Operation

(Power Sliding Door): For vehicles with a power sliding door, press and hold to open or close the power sliding door. See Power Sliding Door (PSD) .

(Dual Power Sliding Doors): For vehicles with dual power sliding doors, press and hold to open or close the driver side door or to open or close the passenger side door. See Power Sliding Door (PSD) .

Operating the power sliding door(s) with the RKE transmitter occurs if the power sliding door override switch(es) on the overhead console are active or inactive. See Power Sliding Door (PSD) for additional information.

If the sliding door is closed and the power sliding door button on the transmitter is pressed and held, the vehicle's doors unlock and then the power sliding door opens. If the power sliding door has been locked using the manual door lock lever, the power sliding door must be unlocked before it can be opened with the RKE transmitter sliding door button.

If the vehicle's fuel filler door is opened, the driver side power sliding door will not open completely. Do not try to force the door. Once the fuel filler door is closed, the driver side sliding door can be opened normally.

Programming Transmitters to the Vehicle

Only RKE transmitters programmed to this vehicle will work. If a transmitter is lost or stolen, a replacement can be purchased and programmed through your dealer/retailer. When the replacement transmitter is programmed to this vehicle, all remaining transmitters must also be reprogrammed. Any lost or stolen transmitters will no longer work once the new transmitter is programmed. The vehicle can have a maximum of four transmitters programmed to it.

Battery Replacement

Notice: When replacing the battery, do not touch any of the circuitry on the transmitter. Static from your body could damage the transmitter.

To replace the battery:

  1. Separate the transmitter with a flat, thin object inserted into the notch on the side.
  2. Remove the old battery. Do not use a metal object.
  3. Insert the new battery. Replace with a CR2032 or equivalent battery.
  4. Put the transmitter back together tightly.
