The rear quarter window system consists of the following components:
• | Rear quarter window Switch |
• | Left rear quarter window actuator |
• | Right rear quarter window actuator |
• | ELC Fuse 2 20A |
The rear quarter windows are operated using the rear quarter window switch in the interior lamp and multifunction switch assembly. The rear quarter window switch is powered when the ignition is in RUN or retained accessory power (RAP) is enabled. Refer to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Description and Operation .
When the rear quarter window switch is activated to the Open position, battery positive voltage is applied to the rear quarter window actuators through the power window motor rear vents open control circuit. Ground for the actuators is provided by the power window motor rear vents close control circuit through the close side of the rear quarter window switch.
When the rear quarter window switch is activated to the Close position, battery positive voltage is applied to the rear quarter window actuators through the power window motor rear vents close control circuit. Ground for the actuators is provided by the power window motor rear vents open control circuit through the open side of the rear quarter window switch.
