Sliding Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement Swing Out

Removal Procedure

    Important: By removing the power sliding door (PSD) 15A fuse, the low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules (PSDM) will be interrupted and both PSDs will be inoperative.

  1. If equipped with a power sliding door, disable the PSD system by removing the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
  2. Remove the sliding door swing out window. Refer to Sliding Door Swing Out Window Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 320079  Size: SH
  4. Pull the sliding door window weatherstrip from the pinch-weld flange.
  5. Remove the sliding door window weatherstrip from the sliding door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 320079  Size: SH

    Important: The swing out window weatherstrip service replacement part is a cut-to-fit part. The weatherstrip must be trimmed to fit the window opening and joined together.

  1. Install the sliding door window weatherstrip to the sliding door.
  2. Align the sliding door window weatherstrip to so the joint is at the center of the sliding door window latch attachment point.
  3. Roll the sliding door window weatherstrip from the joint to the bottom of the window in order to ensure a proper seal.
  4. Install the sliding door swing out window. Refer to Sliding Door Swing Out Window Replacement .
  5. Important: By installing the 15A fuse, the low current logic power will be restored to both the LH and RH PSDMs and the PSDs will be operational. However, both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of the PSD. Refer to Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module Programming and Setup .

  6. If equipped with a power sliding door, enable the PSD system by installing the PSD 15A fuse into the I/P fuse block.
